Art in the Pearl!
This is a premiere outdoor art festival held annually on Labor Day weekend: Saturday, Sunday and Monday, Sept. 1, 2 and 3, in the
North Park Blocks (north of Burnside at 10th) in Portland, Oregon.
Once again Jackie will have both paintings and ceramic sculpture on display.

Figurative Show at Opus6ix Gallery in Eugene, Oregon in October.

SOFA Show on the Navy Pier in Chicago, Nov. 2-4.

Art in the Pearl!

At this show Jackie will debut a big surprise: Paintings! She was juried in for
both painting and ceramic sculpture, so she will have two booths side by side this year.
If you like Jackie's work, this will be your best chance this year to see it.

L.O.C.A.L. 14 Show and Sale
An annual show of Northwest women artists; helps support art scholarships for female artists.
Held in the Forestry Center (adjacent to the Portland Zoo) Oct. 6 - 8.

ONE ON ONE INTENSIVE: $295 for half a day of individual instruction; for those who want to learn all my methods and materials but for whom attending weekly classes would be inconvenient. I will demo the entire process on a small sample section. This will include methods and materials for creating the wire framework, stretching sheer fabric over the framework, and achieving a "seamless" look when covering the fabric with a "skin" of handmade paper. You can either just watch, or help, or make your own sample section along with me. Your choice. In my studio I have full-size examples of a sculptural lamp in four progressive stages of completion: we'll use these to discuss tips, tricks, and construction strategies as well as pitfalls to avoid. We might get sidetracked into esoteric philosophical digressions...again, your choice!
